Sunflowers are a
popular annual throughout the US and are available in
sizes and colors to suit nearly every gardener's
needs. They are generally pretty easy to grow from
seed if you can keep the birds from eating them.
Sunflowers grow best in full sun and generally need at
least 6 hours a day. Leaving dead seed heads
out after the growing season has ended provides food for
migrating birds in the autumn.
